With the beginning of fall, everything will quickly be getting in motion again, and that includes activities for our council!
This month sees the return of pancake breakfasts (Sunday the 20th) and spaghetti dinners (Wednesday the 16th), as well as our soccer challenge and essay contest kickoffs. To all brother knights, I want to extend a friendly request to come out and help at as many of these events as you can, with a special thanks to those of you who are al- ways there to help out. To everyone in the parish, I extend an invita-tion to join us in these events. Our council is here to serve you and the parish!
As a reminder, our Baby Bottle and Tootsie Roll Drives are coming up in just a few weeks as well. We can use all the help we can get for these activities. If you have any questions on how you can get involved, please contact Deputy Grand Knight Vern Miller.
In August, we started our “Fifth Sunday Rosary” program. This is a time to bring parishioners together and promote devotion to the Blessed Mother. We will be continuing this activity during the fraternal year. The remaining dates are November 29, January 31 and May 29. I will include the times for each month in the respective newsletters; please come out and join us.
I hope everyone has a great start to the fall season and pray for the success of all students and teachers, especially those passing on the faith to our children.
Vivat Jesus!
Ken Mraz
Grand Knight
