Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Nick Daily a big success! Thank you!

At the November business meeting, it was motioned and approved to do our monthly spaghetti dinner as a benefit for Nick Daily and his family.

Nick, a member of Holy Family, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma when he was in the 6th grade. He has had surgery and treatments but this past January he was diagnosed with Chemo elated AML which is a type of Leukemia. He had a bone marrow transplant in March but unfortunately his Leukemia came back and he was told that there was no treatment that could cure him.

Nick just celebrated his 16th birthday and knows that each day is a gift from God and enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dog Gus.

The council voted to donate the food so that all proceeds would go to Nick’s family, and the benefit was a whopping success! We served over 530 people spaghetti, and more after that had pizza. Thanks to everyone’s generosity and support, we were able to raise over $7000 for the Daily family! A big thank you to our crew, led by Jerry Creighton who worked all day preparing food for more than 4x our regular crowd, and to all the Holy Family staff, adult and student volunteers who helped set-up and bus tables!

Please continue to pray for Nick and his family. If you were unable to attend, or just have a big heart and want to give more, head over to the crowd funding page at GOFUNDME.

Also, if you enjoyed the food and community, please know that we have a spaghetti dinner the 3rd Wednesday of every month from September thru May. The proceeds from our regular spaghetti dinners all go to the various charitable works we do every month, such as the Holy Family Outreach Pantry, helping out various youth and pro-life activities. We would love to see you at our other dinners to support these worthy causes too!
